Hi everyone! My 19th (!!!!) graphic novel, Inbetweens, will be published on March 31st, and I am doing some in-person events to celebrate it. But first, here’s the book:

What’s the book about: Twin sisters Sloane and Ash are two peas in a pod, and they do everything together: watch movies, attend classes, and most importantly, draw! So when the summer animation classes of their dreams are about to start, they can barely contain their excitement!
Well…Ash is excited but Sloane is surprised to find she isn’t as jubilant about it, which makes no sense, since she loves art. Meanwhile, Ash discovers that just because you love something, doesn’t mean you’ll automatically be good at it, and she struggles under the weight of her own expectations and those of her teacher’s. Soon, the trials of challenging classwork and new friendships drive a wedge between the twins. Can their bond survive the summer?
Inbetweens is inspired by my experiences (both good & not so good) at a competitive animation college, as well as the friendships I’ve made in comics and animation. It is about the joys and struggles of creating art, collaboration, and continuing to follow your passions even when dealing with discouragement. I hope readers enjoy it and if you do, please tell your friends, mention the book in social media, or post a review online. These are all wonderful ways to show you enjoyed a comic, and will spread the word so other readers can find it as well.
Here are my upcoming in-person events:
I will be attending the Texas Library Association Conference from March 29-30th
I have two US book signings:
Tuesday, March 31st at Linden Tree in Denver, CO at 6pm
and
Wednesday, April 1st at Linden Tree in Los Altos, CA at 6pm.
I am also tabling this year at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival (June 6-7) and the Vancouver Comic Arts Festival (July 4-5). I hope to see you there!
You can buy Inbetweens wherever books are sold (I always recommend supporting your local bookstore/comic store) or you can find it at your local library.
