NEW A commission for a friend of Joss, Robyn and Sonnet striking a pose against a flood of looming zombies. Hee.

NEW A small ink sketch of Jun (formerly Thessaly) from my upcoming graphic novel, The War at Ellsmere. Qventti did the awesome colouring.
NEW Another commission. These three are popular. Then again, so are zombies. And dorky posing.
Raven and Malcolm, from Demonology 101, celebrating the fact that it's 2008, but they haven't aged since 1999!  Joss from Zombies Calling, dreaming action movie dreams. Of course, you'll have bigger boobs...
Small apartments come cat-included. This was drawn across two sketchbook pages, so mind the gap. Thessaly from my girls' school comic, experiencing some mighty wind. She's also experienced a name change...
Inkwash art for a new project that I wish would get off the ground... if wishes were horses. :P I can't be bothered to keep the Ice art separate. Here's Cirr and Huter, making out photogenically.
A punk girl from the same project as above ... she is small and adorable. Raven and her adopted Dad, sharing a moment.
Again, more sketches from the same project as above. I like making characters with much better fashion sense than I have. This was toned by Qventti. Cassie takes a header ... hee.
Joss, from Zombies Calling, and a zombie kitty. Zombie kitties are inheirently hilarious. Unfortunately, none appear in the actual comic...  Thessaly and Cass, from a story idea set at an all-girls boarding school, racing paper boats down a stream.

Kiki, one of the very first characters I ever created, back when I was nine or so... she fought the Forces of Evil with an army of unicorns and flying puppies. Ah, so long ago. This was coloured by Qventti. Check him out, he's awesome. The villains from the girls-boarding school story idea. This time the 'bitchy queen bee' cliche goes a bit more epic.
A twist on the usual horror cliche. Will people never learn?   A different sort of Fairy Queen.

Ah, true love. Apparently it doesn't mind being wet.

I painted sets in high school. One of the few fond memories I have of that place...
Cass, from the afore-metioned story, drawn in a very cartoony style, in Flash.  A test page for The After Hours Diner, another comic idea. I had fun drawing this.
Madeline and Isaac, from my epic, 'I want to learn to draw' online comic, Demonology 101. They're evil and in love. It's cute.  I asked for drawing suggestions on my sketchblog, and Settern came up with this one: A girl with swords for hands. I love swordy-hand girl, I really do.
    WARNING: FRONTAL NUDITY!
I admire the work of Claire Wendling and Frank Frazetta: their nudes area always very powerful, but somewhat casual. It's a bit unusual.
After Demonology 101: Lacey and Eli and an unnamed friend hang out at their monestary. And hey, monestarys can be kind of nice, really. I used to visit one as a kid. They had cows.

A girl with a cat-hat, being looked at by a cat. Hm, meta!

Joss, heroine of Zombies Calling, at the beach. However, zombies don't take vacations...
Because I love me some action movie cheddar, I always wanted to draw this scene. Time to kick villain butt!    I don't think I'd go to any school that has creepy gothic gates. Bad things are bound to happen.
This reminds me of that year I spent living in a garage... :D  A character from a story idea. Basically, I wanted to do Samurai Jack and The Dark Tower. Hilairity ensued!

This was probably inspired by the wacky credits for the show Dead Like Me. Unfortunately, the credits were misleading: the show is very lacking in wackiness.

Apparently it's Raven's birthday. Aw.

Communists have style.
Pity about all the... uh, other stuff.

Thessaly, from my boarding school story. I think of it as a homage to the brilliance of Diana Wynne Jones...

Mr. Sachs, semi-villain from D101, and his adorable, doomed family. DOOOOMED.
Yeah, I'm terrible.

The kids from Zombies Calling and D101 swop gifts. Unfortunately, the Christmas tree seems to be alive... or rather, undead.
Raven (from D101) sleeps in a papasang chair. Mackenzie (also from D101) looks like she's had too much sugar.  A random girl on a vespa. I enjoy drawing vespas. Cars, however...
The Zombies Calling kids strike a pose for the good of all mankind.  I don't know why it has flaming eyeballs. Especially as I can't seem to draw flaming eyeballs. Lovely colouring done by Grace.
